"Any man can be a Father but it takes a special person to be a Dad".....

For the father's that left
look at us,your seed, your children
does your conscious haunt u?..
like a ghost of Christmas past
cuz these past years
the feelings,hurt & pain haunt us
the excuses,lies,miss'd birthdays have
and hurt us in the worst way
we've become the generation
of the child support system
but a monthly piece of paper w/ numbers,
aint support is it!?
those numbers turn into days
which turn into years
lead us to a void of wants & tears
lookin at moms eyes she doin her best,
but doin it alone
sacraficed and gave us
what you wouldnt,didnt give us
but it was always enough
and in our darkest hours
sometimes it wasn't enough
while you creep in & out our lives
like a thief in the night but u stole more
cuz now your sons think rappers & dopeboys is the man
& your daughter looks for love in random men
see ur mistakes affect us too
cuz the guard we have up roots from you
anger stems and now we hate you
so this is a letter
a ode that represents us all
a ode from us to you
I know our single mothers feel this too
so mom this father[less] days gifts
